I've been busy, way too busy to take time for myself and write. The torrential rains we had almost the whole month of May altered my daily schedule and whole thought process. Except for today the last week has been sunny and very hot, just the way I like it.

I've been thinking of mom a lot. May is a hard month for me. So is December.

What happens to a dream deferred?

Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore--
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over--
like a syrupy sweet?

Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.

Or does it explode?
